Costs and booking

Pricing & booking

How much do exterior cleaning services cost on the Isle of Wight?

Pricing depends on the service, property size, access, frequency and how much build-up there is. The quickest way to get an accurate price is to send your postcode, the service you need and photos where possible.

You can also visit our pages for window cleaning FAQs, gutter clearance FAQs, gutter cleaning FAQs, pressure washing FAQs, conservatory cleaning FAQs and solar panel cleaning FAQs.

How do I get a quote?

Send us your postcode, the service you need and a few photos if possible. Photos are especially useful for gutters, patios, driveways, conservatory roofs and solar panels.

We can often quote remotely, and for larger or more complex jobs we may arrange a quick site visit. You can start through our contact page.

How do I pay?

Most customers pay by bank transfer or card payment link where available. We can provide invoices and receipts, and for commercial clients we can include the details needed for your accounts process.

Do I need to be home?

Usually not. If we have safe access and any gates are unlocked, most exterior cleaning can be completed while you are out. If we need access to a tap, power, inside windows or a locked area, we will agree that beforehand.

How far in advance should I book?

It depends on the time of year and the type of work. Spring and summer can be busier for exterior cleaning, so earlier is better for larger jobs. If your dates are flexible, we can often fit work in sooner.

Do you offer regular maintenance visits?

Yes. We offer regular window cleaning and can also help with periodic exterior maintenance such as gutter checks, fascia and soffit cleaning, conservatory roof cleaning and solar panel cleaning.

Before we arrive

On the day

How long does a job usually take?

It depends on the size of the property and the service booked. Routine window cleaning is normally quicker, while pressure washing, gutter clearance and larger conservatory roof cleans can take longer. We will give you a sensible estimate when booking.

Do I need to do anything before you arrive?

Please make sure we can access the areas being cleaned. It helps to unlock gates, move vehicles from driveways before pressure washing, and move small items such as plant pots or garden furniture away from the working area where practical.

What about pets and dogs?

We are happy working around pets, but for safety it is best to keep dogs indoors or secured while we are entering gates, carrying equipment or working near doors and garden areas.

Will it make a mess?

Some services naturally move dirt, moss and debris, especially gutter clearance and pressure washing. We work carefully, clean down where needed and aim to leave the area tidy once the job is complete.

Protected and careful

Safety & insurance

Are you insured for exterior cleaning?

Yes. Wight Cleaning Co is insured for the exterior cleaning services we provide. Insurance documentation can be supplied on request, especially for commercial work, property managers and landlords.

Do you follow safe working practices?

Yes. We use suitable equipment and safe working methods for the job. If access is awkward, fragile or unsafe, we will be upfront and talk through the best way to approach it before starting.

Do you use ladders?

Where possible, we use modern high-reach methods such as water-fed poles and gutter vacuum systems. Ladders may still be used for certain access points, inspections or details, but only when suitable and safe.

What we clean

Services & methods

What exterior cleaning services do you offer?

We provide exterior cleaning for homes, businesses, landlords and commercial properties across the Isle of Wight, including window cleaning, gutter clearance, gutter cleaning, pressure washing, conservatory cleaning and solar panel cleaning.

What is the difference between gutter clearance and gutter cleaning?

Gutter clearance means removing moss, leaves, weeds and debris from inside the guttering to help water flow properly. Gutter cleaning usually means washing the outside of the gutters, fascia boards and soffits to improve the appearance of the roofline.

You can view these separately on our gutter clearance FAQs and gutter cleaning FAQs.

What cleaning methods do you use?

We choose the method to suit the surface. For external glass, we often use a purified water-fed pole system. For patios and driveways, we use controlled pressure washing. For gutters, we use gutter vacuum equipment where suitable, with ladder access used where needed for downpipes and specific blockages.

Do you do commercial exterior cleaning?

Yes. We work with commercial clients across the Isle of Wight, including scheduled window cleaning, gutter clearance, exterior cleaning and site-specific maintenance. We can also work around business opening times where agreed.

Do you clean inside windows too?

Our main service is external cleaning, but internal window cleaning can be arranged for some domestic and commercial jobs. Mention this when asking for a quote so we can confirm availability and price it properly.

How often should exterior cleaning be done?

It depends on the property, location and exposure. Windows are commonly cleaned on a regular schedule, gutters are usually checked periodically to prevent overflows, and patios, driveways, conservatory roofs and solar panels are often cleaned seasonally or when build-up becomes noticeable.

Access and conditions

Weather & access

Do you work in the rain?

Light rain is not always a problem, especially for some exterior cleaning jobs. We will rearrange if weather affects safety or quality, such as heavy rain, strong winds, storms, ice or freezing conditions.

Do you need access to water or electricity?

It depends on the job. We can often work self-sufficiently for window cleaning, but some services may need access to an outside tap or power. We will confirm this before the booking so there are no surprises on the day.

Can you clean hard-to-reach areas safely?

In many cases, yes. We use high-reach poles, gutter vacuum equipment and other exterior cleaning tools to reduce the need for risky access. If an area cannot be reached safely, we will explain the options clearly.
